A thesis is a structured document, consisting of sections which are organised and ordered according to a consistent outline.
A well-structured thesis allows you to highlight the fundamental question underlying your research by improving its readability.
A thesis is a standalone entity. Any added elements necessary to its comprehension should feature in appendixes, bibliography, etc.
While its structure may vary according to subjects and countries, some elements are indispensable to its constitution. These are defined by the recommendations from the Ministère de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche (Department of Higher Education and Research).
For easy management of the different sections of your thesis, it is essential that you use a style sheet.
